November Favourites!

Hi everyone :)

I haven’t done a monthly favourites post in a long time so as we have now reached the end of November I thought I would share with you the products that I have been loving this month.

After being a bit sceptical at first, NARS Laguna has quickly become one of my all time favourite products! I don’t know how I lived without it for so long and I definitely think it is worth the hype. If you’d like to know more about it you can read my full review here :)

I got the two Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmers from Poundland and they have been such a good buy. They make lovely highlighters and add a touch of shimmer to your cheek bones and give your skin such a lovely glow. I also got the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer from Boots after reading so many good reviews of it and I have to say it hasn’t disappointed. It’s great for hiding any dark circles under the eyes and brightening up your face.

I picked up the Victoria’s Secret Love Spell body spray last time I was at the Trafford Centre and I have been using it non-stop throughout November. It is a gorgeous cherry blossom and peach scent which is really fruity and refreshing.

Finally I have been wearing a lot of bold lip colours recently which is quite a new thing for me. I really like shade 110 from the Kate Moss Lasting Finish matte range which is a bright, orangey red shade and has been my go to lipstick this month.

So there you have my monthly favourites for November. I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to hear which products you have been loving throughout November :)

Hair Straightening Ban! Three Week Mark :)

Hi there,

As you may have seen in one of my posts a while back, I have put myself on a strict hair straightening ban! Drastic measures had to be taken as my hair was getting so thin and damaged from too mch straightening so I decided to ditch the straighteners for at least three weeks and try and look after my hair a bit better. I am happy to say that today is the three week mark and I have not straightened my hair at all in this time, not even for a night out!

I have found it quite difficult to style my hair and have mainly been sticking to two hair styles which are down and curly (which you can see how I style in this post) and tied back in a bun with a French plait at the front. I used a hair doughnut to get the bun and have been accessorising with cute bow bobbles and clips to try and vary the style slightly.

I have noticed an improvement in the condition of my hair since I stopped straightening it every day and I think it has grown a bit more as well. Even though I have reached the three week mark I am going to carry on not using the straighteners for as long as I can as I think my hair definitely needs this break.

If you have any tips on good hair styles for when you’re not using straighteners please let me
know in the comments box :)

British Blogger Selection Week 4 - Favourite Beauty Brand

Helllooo!

So we are now on to week 4 of the British Blogger Selection and the theme for this week is Favourite Makeup Brand and Why. This is a really tough one for me and if you look through my makeup collection there isn’t one brand that would jump out as one I always buy from. However, after a lot of umming and ahhing over this question I think I am going to go with NARS as my favourite beauty brand.

As NARS is a little on the pricey side I don’t have many of their products but as you may have seen in my last post I have recently become a bit obsessed with Laguna bronzer. You can read a full review of it here but I can definitely say that it lives up to the very high expectations I had for it. I also think the NARS powder blushers are absolutely amazing and they are my all time favourite blushers. I have the shades Lustre, Orgasm and Sin (which I have only just bought) and I honestly love them all. Whilst I was shopping the other day I got a sample of the NARS Sheer Glow foundation which I have also heard fab things about. I only got one day’s wear out of the sample and I would definitely need to try it out for longer to develop a proper opinion on it but I have to say my first impressions were very good.

So overall, even though my whole makeup collection isn’t made up of NARS products, the makeup I do have from this brand I have been seriously impressed by and there’s not one product that I’ve tried that has disappointed me.

Which makeup brand is your favourite? Which products would you recommend?

I hope you enjoyed reading this post :)

NARS Laguna Bronzer Review

Hi everyone,

I just had to do a quick post to tell you all how much I am loving Laguna bronzer from NARS! I know I’m a bit late jumping on the bandwagon with this one and it has been a cult beauty product for ages now but I just never thought it could live up to the hype! However, I was in desperate need of a new bronzer and didn’t want to repurchase the Clinique one that I had been using as I had gone off it quite a bit. I was going to try a Bare Minerals one as I thought that a mineral bronzer would look really natural but when I swatched Laguna in Selfridges I knew immediately that I was going to like it.

It is a little on the pricey side at £26 but I definitely think it is worth it. It looks so natural on the skin and goes on really nicely. It contains a tiny bit of shimmer but this just translates into a lovely glow, rather than making you look glittery and the colour it gives is just perfect. Some bronzers I have tried have just left big orange looking splodges on my face but this one is so easy to blend and just gives my skin a beautiful warm look.

I know you’re all probably thinking that you knew that it would be a fab product already and I’m way behind here but I just thought I’d write this post for those of you out there that are like me and are a bit sceptical and don’t think that this bronzer can possibly live up to such high expectations. I don’t know how I ever used any other bronzer since trying this one, I am most definitely converted!

What do you guys think of Laguna? Has anyone else thought that it wouldn’t live up to the hype?

Thanks for reading :) xx
