Hi everyone,
As someone who suffers from
continually dry lips, I am always on the lookout for new lip balms to try. I
had heard a lot about the Bite Agave Lip Mask so when I saw it in Sephora it
went straight into my shopping basket, no questions asked!
This lip mask contains organic agave
nectar, jojoba oil and vanilla CO2 extract but doesn’t contain any petroleum which
I liked as I find products with this ingredient really don’t have any long term
benefits. It also comes in a champagne shade, which I later went back for, and a
‘Smashed’ version which has a red tint to it. At $26 it is more on the pricey
side for a lip product but this is one item that I definitely think is worth
splashing out on, especially if you are someone like me that has dry lips all
year round and regular lip balms just don’t seem to cut it.
The formula is really thick and feels
more like you would expect a lip mask to rather than a lip balm. For this reason you really do only need a
tiny amount, especially if you’re wearing it in the day. At night time though I like to slather a little more on to help my lips really feel hydrated. When
I wake up in the morning after using this product my lips always feel so much
smoother and softer and I can see a considerable reduction in how dry they are.
Instead of feeling chapped and sore my lips feel so much better and look much
healthier too.
I have been using the original version
more than the champagne one just because I tend to use this product more at
night as I like to wear a lipstick or lip gloss during the day. However, the
champagne option has a lovely shimmery, rose gold sheen to it which is so
pretty and gives a slight hint of colour to the lips.
The only negative that I have to say
about this product is that the packaging on my original one has split at the
bottom which means the lip balm comes out of both ends when I squeeze it. I’m
sure this is probably just a one off as it hasn’t happened to the champagne
coloured one that I have but never the less it is still really annoying for such
an expensive product.
Having said that, I would completely
recommend this lip mask to anyone and everyone and I’m hoping I will be able to
get my hands on it again once these two have run out. It has done wonders for
my lips and has replaced my beloved Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream as my
favourite lip rescue product.
Have you tried the Bite Agave Lip
Masks? What do you think of them?
Thanks for reading,
Hannah xx
Ooooo, that is pricey for a lip balm and I don't think I can justify the price. I've been loving Eos lip balm so far it's been doing my lips some good.

@Shireen L. Platt I picked up a couple of the EOS balms in New York and really like them too. They have made their way over to the UK but they are really expensive here unfortunately x
ReplyDelete@Hannah Louise They are on the pricey side but if you have super dry lips then I think they are worth it. If your lips don't get too dry though then it's probably not something worth splashing out on :) x
