Hi everyone,
I love autumn and winter for the cosy
nights in, winter fashion and the hearty food and all these things together
make it one of my favourite times of year. Now the leaves are falling from the
trees and the nights are drawing in, I have decided it’s time to pack away all those
bright and bold coloured makeup products from the summer and dig out the berry
shades and the darker colours that I love for autumn and winter. I am thoroughly
enjoying the change so for today’s post I thought I would share my top 5 nail
polishes for autumn.
left to right - OPI Colour to Diner For, Boots No 7 Betty Blues, Tanya Burr Penguin Chic, Barry M Pomegranate, Jessica Blushing Princess. |
1) OPI
- Colour to Diner For
This nail polish is from the Fall 2011
Touring America collection but it is still one of my favourites for this time
of year. Colour to Diner For is a gorgeous dark red with a slight shimmer to it
that’s just so pretty. I also really like I Eat Mainely Lobster from this
collection but this is more of an orange / coral shade so doesn’t seem as autumnal
to me.
2) Boots
No.7 - Betty Blues
I had to include a very dark blue in
my top 5 polishes for autumn and Betty Blues from Boots is one of my all-time
favourites. It seems almost black but I love the vampy look and think it is
perfect for autumn and winter.
3) Tanya
Burr - Penguin Chic
I’m not often drawn towards grey
shades for my nails but I have found myself reaching for this varnish a lot
recently and the good thing is that it goes with so many outfits where the red
and berry colours might not.
4) Barry
M - Pomegranate
This polish is one of the Gelly
Hi-Shine range by Barry M and although I’m not sold on the extra shine aspect,
I do really love the colour. This is a lovely, bright pink / red shade and
berry colours like this are definitely my favourites for autumn.
5) Jessica
- Blushing Princess
Last but not least is Blushing
Princess by Jessica which has more of a purple, berry tone to it. This nail
polish is dug out every year and is one of the few that I have repurchased. I think
it is just such a gorgeous, rich colour and I always get so many compliments on
it whenever I wear it.
Which are your favourite nail polishes
for autumn? I’d love to hear your recommendations :)
Thanks for reading,
Hannah xx
Betty Blues and Penguin Chic is so pretty and both looks like the perfect shade for Autumn! I have been loving dark navy blues recently too and have been loving shade Inky Dinky by AURORA.

@Shireen L. Platt Oooh I'll have to look out for Inky Dinky as it sounds right up my street. I think dark navy nails can look so classy and perfect for this time of year :) x
