Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!

So it's finally here! After weeks of preparing, buying and wrapping presents and attending festive parties, Christmas Day finally came around. I just wanted to take this time to say a huge thank you to everyone that has read my blog and taken the time out to comment on my posts. It means so much and I really do appreciate all your support. I'm really looking forward to putting more time and effort into my blog in 2017, the new design is hopefully just the start!

So what is everyone up to today? I will be spending the morning with my dad, having Christmas lunch at my boyfriends parents and then it's over to my mums house to spend the evening with my mum and brother. My mum always makes the best buffet teas and Christmas just isn't the same without one! Who could resist brie and cranberry parcels, cheesy bites and pigs in blankets?! It can be quite a hectic day but thankfully everyone lives fairly near to each other and I love that we manage to see everyone.

I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends and Santa brings you lots of fab goodies :) Thank you again for all your kind words and I look forward to another year of blogging in 2017!

Merry Christmas

The Christmas Tag

Hi everyone,

So first of all I hope you all like my new blog design! I am so so happy with it and think it is just much more me than before. I have wanted to change things up and add a bit of colour for a while now and I'm just so pleased with the final result. A huge thank you to Serena Ozgowicz from Pretty Wild Things for all her help! If you ever need a redesign or new template then I can't recommend her enough.

So Christmas is just one week away and I can't get my head around how quickly it has come. How's everyone getting on with their Christmas shopping? I am never organised with mine but this year I have actually finished and wrapped everything and put it under the tree! This pretty much never happens but it does feel good to know it's all done and ready to go.

Today's post was supposed to be a Christmas makeup look but since having surgery on my cheek about two weeks ago, I have been unable to wear any makeup :( So instead I thought I would do a Christmas tag which I have seen over on the lovely Milk Bubble Tea and Makeup Savvy. I hope you enjoy and if you decide to give the tag a try please give me a shout and let me know in the comments below so I can read all your answers!

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie/s?

This is such a tough question for me as I love so many Christmas movies! If I had to narrow it down though I would go for Elf and The Holiday. Both films are just so feel good and really Christmassy so they are always guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Always Christmas morning! Since moving in with my boyfriend, we wake up and open our presents first thing in the morning while still in bed. Then other presents from family and friends sort of get scattered though the day as we go and visit everyone. I think this is nice as it spreads the present giving out a bit more and means it's not all over and done with by 9am.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I think my favourite Christmas memories are from when I lived at home and my parents were still together. My mum would always cook Christmas dinner and all the family would come round and we would all spend the day together.

4. Favourite festive food?

At this time of year I always want all the food! The nice chocolates and tons of cheese (not together though!) and of course Christmas dinner. There's not one food in particular that I like, I think it's more the excuse of being able to eat whatever you want and blaming it on Christmas.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

One of my favourite Christmas gifts has to be my little bunnies Billy and Bluebell. I had wanted a rabbit for so long but never thought I would wake up on Christmas morning to find two little baby bunnies in my house. They can be quite hard work as they are house rabbits and like to nibble and have destroyed quite a lot of furniture but I wouldn't change them for the world.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?

When it comes to candles and fragrances for around the house, for me, nothing beats spiced cranberry or cinnamon scents. They just scream Christmas, winter and all things cosy! Perfume wise though I love Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay. My boyfriend bought this for me as a present a few years ago and ever since then it has just reminded me of Christmas.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

I actually don't have any Christmas Eve traditions as normally I would always be working. Last year was the first year in a long time that I haven't worked in retail but my boyfriend spent the entire day doing all his Christmas shopping. Maybe this year I will have to start some new traditions as I don't think we have made the most of Christmas Eve so far.

8. What tops your tree?

We have a star for the top of our tree but I think we need a new one. It is looking a little worse for wear this year!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

There's nothing that immediately springs to mind here but I know sometimes there were those toys that all the kids wanted and they were always sold out everywhere. I don't think there was one thing that I would always ask for year after year though.
10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

For me, it is just spending loads of time with family and friends and making an extra effort to do something nice together.

I hope you enjoyed the tag and don't forget to let me know if you decide to give it a try :)

Thanks for reading,

Christmas Gift Ideas For Him

Hi everyone,

Last week you saw my Christmas Gift Ideas for Her post so I thought I would follow on with a guide for the men in your life. I find men much more difficult to buy for than I do women. If all else fails most of the time you can opt for some lovely jewellery or perfume if you're really stuck when it comes to girls but I think this is trickier with guys. I hope some of these ideas help if you're struggling to think of things to buy for your boyfriend, husband, dad or grandad and if you have any fail safe present ideas for me I'd love to hear them so let me know in the comments below!

Christmas Gift Ideas For Her

Hi everyone,

A gift guide is not something I have posted on my blog before but this year I thought I would give it a try. Most of the things I have included are ones that either I have been bought as a gift or I have bought for someone else so I know they have always been well received. I hope this gives you some ideas and I'd love to know which are your favourites :)
