Liebster Award!

Hi everyone,

I have just been nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by the lovely Lily from That Vintage Wardrobe and also by BeauBeauty3 :) It was such a lovely surprise and I want to say a huge thank you to Lily and BeauBeauty for thinking of me when choosing their nominees!

So to take part there are a number of things you have to complete:

-          Share eleven facts about yourself

-          Answer the eleven questions set by the person that tagged you

-          Choose eleven blogs that you would like to nominate. All nominees must have under 200 GFC followers and you must let them know that they are nominated by commenting on their blog.

-          Think of eleven questions to ask the bloggers you have nominated.

So the first task is to share eleven facts about yourself, so here it goes...

1)    I went to uni at Lancaster University

2)    I love horse riding

3)    I am definitely a book worm and my fave books are the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella

4)    I love anything that’s pink and sparkly!

5)    I have a Westie dog called Frankie

6)    My skin does not tan!

7)    I eat way too much Camembert

8)    I am a trained Personal Shopper

9)    I have never broken any bones (touch wood!)

10) I’m petrified of spiders

11) I am apparently obsessed with cleaning

And my answers to the questions Lily set for us to answer....

1)   What is your favourite thing to do at the weekend?

I am often working at the weekend so when I am off I just enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and my family and friends.

2)   What is your favourite time of year?

I used to love Winter but in the last couple of years I have been liking Summer more. I just think it makes you feel so much better when the sun is shining and you can enjoy more days out.

3)   Your favourite makeup brand?

This is a tough one for me as I don’t have one brand that most of my makeup is from or anything like that but I think at the moment I have to say my favourite makeup brand is NARS. I really love their blushers in particular and am going to make it my mission to collect the whole range!

4)   What do you want to be doing in ten years time?

Honestly, I have no idea! I’ll be 34 in ten years so hopefully I’ll be settled in my own house and I would eventually like my own business, although I’m not 100% sure in which area as yet.

5)   What is your goal on your blog, how many followers are you aiming at getting?

When I started out blogging I didn’t really have any idea what I was doing and I have learnt so much in the last year. I’d love to get to 100 followers but I’m enjoying blogging and I am happy if just a handful of people enjoy reading my posts :)

6)   What is your favourite word?

My favourite word is sparkle! Lol.

7)   Your favourite item of clothing?

This is another tough question for me. I think at the moment my favourite item of clothing is my pale pink blazer from River Island. I don’t shop at River Island that much anymore but I love this blazer and it’s so easy to wear!

8)   What is your favourite item of makeup?

I think I’d have to say my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I searched for years for a foundation that would last all day on my quite oily skin and was beginning to lose hope until I found this one. It’s the one product that I have re-bought over and over and can see myself continuing to buy forever (or until it’s discontinued).

9)   Your favourite clothing brand?

Ooh I really can’t choose! I have been shopping quite a bit at Warehouse recently and I also love Topshop and Forever 21 so most of my clothes are from those places at the moment.

10)                Your favourite place to buy nail varnish from?

I love Essie nail varnishes and also Barry M for a more affordable option.

11)                Who is your style inspiration?

I think Patricia Field is amazing and I love her styling on Confessions of a Shopaholic and Sex and the City.

1)   What was the first makeup item you ever bought?

I honestly can’t remember what the first item of makeup I bought was. I remember having the rubbishy ‘play’ makeup when I was younger and my dad asking me why I was talking weird when I had lipstick on as it had dried all funny!

2)   What is the most expensive makeup item you own?

I don’t really own any super expensive makeup. I think my Sigma Mrs. Bunny Collection makeup brushes are the most expensive makeup related item I own.

3)   Favourite band / artist?

I love Beyonce and I’m gutted I’m not going to see her on the Mrs Carter tour :(

4)   How long have you been blogging for?

I’ve been blogging for just over a year but I feel like I have been putting a lot more time and effort into it recently :)

5)   TV or internet?

Other than for blogging, reading blogs and online shopping I don’t really use the internet that much so I think I’d have to say TV.

6)   Who inspired you to start blogging?

I started watching BeautyCrush and Kandee Johnson on YouTube and reading their blogs and I enjoyed them so much that my boyfriend suggested I start a blog of my own and that’s how it all began! I’d love to do YouTube videos as well so maybe that’s something I’ll start in the future.

7)   3 favourite accents?

This is a good question! I think Italian, Jamaican and French.

8)   If you had a gap year with an unlimited amount of money, what would you do?

I think I’d definitely want to go and see some more of the world and travel for a bit but I’d also want to live in New York and maybe set up my own business.

9)   Favourite drugstore brands?

L’oreal, Barry M and Rimmel

10)                Favourite drugstore items?

Rimmel eyebrow pencil, Barry M glitter nail varnishes and Revlon PhotoReady Primer.

11)                What is your dream job?

To have my own business, maybe a successful boutique or something along those lines. I’m not 100% sure if I’m really honest!
