MAC Sandy B Lipstick Review

One of the most recent lipsticks to be added to my collection is Sandy B from MAC. Now this isn’t really a shade that I would normally be drawn to as I usually find myself reaching for the more pink shades out there. However, I have been willing the horrible winter weather away and as soon as I saw this lipstick I thought it would be a great one from summer when my skin is slightly more tanned and I want a more bronzed goddess look!

Sandy B is a peachy pink colour with a frost finish and a subtle gold shimmer running through it. I really love the shade of peach but I haven’t been using it as much as I thought I might and that’s mainly due to the golden shimmer it has. When I’m wearing it I just feel it’s a bit much for everyday, especially when you’ve had it on for a while and the colour starts to fade leaving just the gold behind.  I also find it a bit drying with it being a frost finish which isn’t great for my already dry lips. Having said that, it does have great staying power and lasts a good few hours before I have to top it up and you can tone it down a bit by adding a gloss on top.

Overall, I do like this lipstick but I don’t think it’s ever going to be one of my favourites. I think it will be one that I use a lot on holiday and when the weather is warmer but not as much in the colder months.
