Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

I can’t believe I have waited so long but I finally picked up Nars Sheer Glow foundation the other week after it being on my wish list for probably years! I’m not going to go into a big long review about it as it is already such a hyped up product and I’m sure you’ve all heard tons about it already. However, I thought I would just write a few thoughts on my blog as it is a product that I would highly recommend.

I think I put off buying this foundation for so long as it does come with a hefty £31 price tag and I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the hype. However, I’m so happy I finally took the plunge and bought it as it really is a fab foundation.

Although it is called ‘Sheer Glow’, the coverage is medium to full and it has more of a matte finish than I expected. It gives a natural looking glow that’s not too shiny and is fairly subtle. As someone with oily skin I was worried that it would look greasy and slid off within no time but it’s not like that at all. It lasts all day on my skin which I was actually really surprised about and it looks lovely and natural, despite the high coverage. I noticed that quite a few of the shades in the range seemed to have a yellow undertone to them which I thought might make me look slightly ill. However, the shade I chose (Deauville) matched my skin tone really well and looked like I was barely wearing any makeup at all.

I don’t mind the glass bottle but I know for some this may be a bug bearer and with the formula being quite watery you can easily pour too much out if you’re not careful. There are pumps available so I may have to invest in one to make things a bit easier and avoid any wastage.

 

So there’s my quick over view of the Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I definitely think it’s one that I will purchase again even though the scary price tag does make me a little apprehensive. As with all products that are so well known and raved about I was concerned that it wouldn’t live up to my expectations but I can safely say I’ve not been disappointed.
