Benefit Ka-Brow Review

I used to absolutely love getting my eyebrows tinted and waxed at the Benefit Brow Bar as they always get the shape just right and the perfect arch. However, now I have changed jobs it’s more difficult to get there so I have been going somewhere else that does them OK but not quite as well. Usually, after I have had them tinted and waxed, I use the Gimme Brow from Benefit to fill them in but recently I have just felt like my eyebrows were lacking a little in shape and definition. That’s why, when I saw the new range of eyebrow products from Benefit I loved the look of them and thought they would help me recreate the look that I was used to.

The item that I was immediately drawn to was Ka-Brow which was described to me as like mixing the two elements of Brow Zings together to create a gel like product. There are five shades available which is more than I was expecting and even though it is £18.50, I can see that it is going to take me so long to get through the pot. The product itself looks and feels like a gel eyeliner but in a more brow friendly shade. Rather handily, the top can be pulled out to reveal an angled brush which I have actually been using. Normally I ignore all brushes that come with makeup products and just use my own but I’ve found this one to be really useful.

The gel comes out quite strong and when I initially used it I was worried it was going to look too much. It’s important to have quite a light hand with it and not too get too much product on your brush otherwise I think it could end up making my brows look too ‘drawn on’. I don’t think this would be a product that I would use alone but I have been using it to get the shape of my brows how I want them and then using the Gimme Brow to fill them in. Finally, I go in with a spoolie and brush them out to make it all more natural. Using the product this way I have been able to get the brow look that I want which is defined and has a good arch but isn’t too over the top.

One of my main concerns when I chose to try this gel was whether or not it would last through a long day without fading or smudging all over the place. I can safely say I have had no issues with its staying power though and I have most definitely put it to the test on nights out and long days at work.

Overall, I have really loved using the Benefit Ka-Brow and it has given my eyebrows the shape and definition that I was lacking previously. If you’re someone that likes a very natural and low key eyebrow then I wouldn’t recommend this one for you but if you’re looking to add a bit more then I’d definitely suggest trying it out.
