LA and San Francisco Haul

Hi everyone,

Whilst I was on holiday in LA and San Francisco, I of course had to make sure that I fitted in some shopping time. I actually was very restrained this year and kept my shopping to a minimum compared to when I was in New York as we had a lot to squeeze in and I didn’t have as much time. However, I still bought a few things, especially from shops like Sephora and Bath and Body Works which we don’t have in the UK, and I thought I would share these with your guys in a haul.

Sephora was my first stop on the first day but I decided to try to not go mad and spend loads on products that I was never going to use. I told myself that it was better to get a few choice items that I really wanted, even if they were a little more expensive, rather than a ton of cheaper things that would get lost at the back of my makeup drawer. With this in mind, I wandered over to the Hourglass counter as I had wanted to try some of their products for so long and ended up with the Strobe Lighting Blusher in Iridescent Flash in my basket.

Kat Von D products are a little harder to get hold of in the UK and I had heard a lot about her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks so I bought one of those in the shade Lovecraft and then ended up going back later in the holiday to pick up the shade Mother as well.

Whenever I get to visit Sephora I always pick up their glitter nail polish remover as this stuff is seriously amazing. I have been put off wearing glitter polish in the past as I just can’t stand trying to remove it but this product makes light work of it so I always stock up! The Bite Agave Lip Masks are some of my favourite products to help with my dry, cracked lips and I usually always pick up a tube when I can but as I still have a full one at the moment I decided to try the Agave Lip Balm instead.

And that was it from Sephora! Can you believe how restrained I was??
I could seriously spend an absolute fortune in that shop so I thought I did quite well not to go mad, even if it did require a lot of willpower!

I can’t say I was quite as good in Bath and Body Works as I always get sucked in by the offers that they have on! As we had just gotten engaged in a rose garden I decided I wanted some rose fragrances and luckily they had a really nice range of rose champagne options. I bought the shower gel, body lotion and body mist.

I also bought the La Fleur body mist which is just gorgeous and genuinely smells like a fresh bouquet! It might not be for everyone if you're not a fan of overly floral fragrances but for me I find it really refreshing and perfect for summer.

Lavender is one of my favourite scents so I had to pick up the Lavender and Sandlewood body mist and body lotion and I also added the Wildberry and Camomile body lotion to my basket as well which I have already used up!

I usually buy the Vanilla scents at Bath and Body Works but this time I just stuck with a mini Warm Vanilla body mist which I thought would be really handy for chucking in my handbag for a quick freshen up throughout the day.

Finally, I couldn’t leave without these cute little hand creams and of course the hand sanitisers and I also picked up a few of these for friends back home.

Crest 3D White Dental Whitening Kit is one I have used before and I was really pleased with the results. I know other people that have used them and not seen much of an improvement but for me they worked really well. I also wanted to get one of the EOS lip balms and went for this cute shimmery pink one.

Aside from makeup and beauty products, the only other things I bought was this cute rabbit bag from Forever 21 and a Hollywood keyring. Having two little bunnies at home myself, I couldn’t resist the bag although my fiancée thinks it is hilarious.

I hope you enjoyed this haul and please let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them :) I will also have reviews for you soon once I have given them all a proper try!

Thanks for reading,
Hannah xx

  8. I had no idea that there isn't a Sephora in the UK! I'm sure one will open up soon so you'll be able to shop there more frequently. I think you made some great choices in products, especially the Kat Von D lipstick. I've yet to try them myself, but like you, I've heard such great things about them! I love Bath & Body Works, especially their candles, since my skin is so sensitive, I can't really enjoy their lotions and sprays :( I'm glad you were able to get your hands on some awesome products! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have a great week ahead!

    1. I know, I'm so disappointed that Sephora hasn't come over here yet and hope it does very soon! A Bath and Body Works would be nice as well haha. I wanted to get some of the candles but I was just worried about how heavy they were and getting them back home in my suitcase! I hope you're having a lovely weekend :) x

  15. I'm not surprised you found yourself returning for another Kat von D liquid lip shade, the entire range is SO tempting. I'm also interested to hear Crest HD whitening strips worked well for you, as I've been playing with the idea of perhaps giving them a go! Ah, such a great haul...

  17. So happy that you got to go! I feel like we take Sephora and B&BW for granted here in the USA. Great shades of KVD you picked, I LOVE the shade Mother. I need Miss Argentina too. I love B&BW I just got a holiday candle on sale for $5 and it was such a steal. They have huge semi annual sales in the USA and my mom and I bought like $200 we have like 40 bottles of lotion lol. I have an EOS shimmer, they're nice! Loved this haul girl, thanks for sharing ^___^
