MAC Lipstick Pink Pearl Pop

I have wanted this lipstick from MAC for ages now but the last three times I have been into Selfridges they haven’t had it! I was reluctant to order it online as MAC lipsticks are expensive anyway and I didn’t want to pay for postage as well if I could help it. However, after being disappointed for the third time I decided to just go ahead and order it as it was getting to be more trouble than it was worth!

So Pink Pearl Pop is a medium pink shade that has a very subtle shimmer to it. As this is a creamsheen lipstick, it doesn’t dry out the lips which is good for someone like me who has dry lips anyway. However, this also means that it doesn’t have the staying power that some of my other MAC lipsticks have and you will have to reapply more throughout the day. I didn’t find this to be too much of a problem though as it still stays put for a decent amount of time, just not as long as a matte finish for example. The colour is quite sheer but it is easy to build up so I think you get the best of both worlds as you can wear it during the day or build it up for a night out.

This lipstick has quickly become one of my favourites and I love the girly, pink colour. I feel it provides a happy medium as it’s not pale but it’s also not really bright either. I was worried I had hyped this lipstick up and just wanted it more as I couldn’t find it (does this happen to anyone else?!) but it definitely hasn’t disappointed and I can see that it will be one I am using constantly throughout summer :)

Have any of you guys tried this lipstick? What did you think of it? I’d also love to hear what your favourite MAC lipsticks are as I want to build up my collection a bit more :)

Thanks for reading xx
