Daily Makeup Routine

Hi everyone,

I have built up quite a collection of makeup thanks to my beauty addiction but despite having so many products to choose from my day to day makeup doesn’t really change that much. These products are the tried and tested ones that I know I can rely on to get me through a long day at work and will still look half decent by the end of it. Also when I am undoubtedly in a rush to get ready in a morning and I don’t have much time to think about what I am putting on my face, these are the products that I always reach for.

Face

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer (£10.99)

My makeup wouldn’t last very long at all without a decent primer and recently I have been loving this latest Max Factor offering. It helps my makeup stay put all day and I really like how it feels on the skin. For a full review just click here.

YSL Fusion Ink Foundation (£30.50)

There has been a huge amount of hype around this product which claims to have no compromises and uses futuristic, space inspired technology to create the formula. I’m not sure about all the technology behind it but what I do know is that I love this foundation and have been using it every day since I got it. I won’t go into too much detail as I have also written a full review of this product here if you would like to find out more.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer (£21.50)

I actually got this concealer free when I bought the Double Wear foundation and it is just as good as I hoped it would be. The full sized one is quite expensive but a little goes a long way so I think the 7ml tube would last a decent amount of time.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (£5.49)

I use this concealer under my eyes to help brighten up my complexion and make me look more awake! It isn’t one I would use to cover blemishes as prefer something more matte but for dark circles or concealing redness it is fab.

Clinique Almost Powder Makeup (24.50)

I have lost count of how many times I have repurchased this powder and I have never found anything that comes even close to it for me. It gives a little more coverage than a lot of powders which I really like but if you want something a bit lighter, then this one might not be for you.

Cheeks

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Streak (£22)
This palette contains a bronzer, highlighter and blusher and has been so handy for taking on holiday or nights away. I really want to get some of the other palettes in this range as they all have some gorgeous shades in. (Review here)

Eyes

Bourjois Khol and Contour eyeliner in Ultra Black (£4.99)

I have used this eyeliner for years and love it. It glides on really nicely and doesn’t smudge throughout the day and as the name suggests it is such a dark shade of black. I can see that I’ll be rebuying this for a long time to come.

Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara (£22.50)

Although this mascara is a little of the pricey side, it’s the one that I always end up coming back to. I have been trying to find a cheaper alternative and I do really like the Seventeen Doll’d Up mascara, but this one still remains on the top spot as my favourite.

I found that my mascara was always smudging around the bottom lash line and by the end of the day I ended up with huge panda eyes. When a friend suggested to me that I try this mascara I wasn’t sure it would help and thought it would be a bit of a gimmick. However, now that I have tried it I won’t be going back as it makes such a massive difference and I can now rely on my eyes to stay smudge free for the entire day.

Brows

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil (£10)

This brow tint and pencil is so easy to use and the Love is Blonde shade is just the perfect colour for my eyebrows. The tint end does dry out fairly quickly which is disappointing but I still really like the pencil end on its own as well.

These are the products that I use pretty much on a daily basis and always end up going back to. My lip products are definitely the ones that I chop and change with the most which is why I haven’t included them in this post; I definitely couldn’t choose just one!

Which products do you use on a day to day basis? Do you use any of the ones that I have mentioned?

Thanks for reading

Hannah xx

  2. @Shireen L. Platt Thank you :) I'd really recommend the YSL Foundation. I didn't think anything could replace Double Wear as my favourite but this one has done it! xx
