Hi everyone,
Earlier this month I blogged about my
morning skincare routine so today I thought I would share with you the skincare
products that I use in the evening. As you may have seen in the last post, I
have been trying to look after my skin a lot better recently and have finally
settled on a routine that I am happy with!
1)
Firstly
I wash away all the days’ makeup using the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference
cleanser (£18). At the moment I am using the one for combination skin which I actually
got in a free gift set but I have been using the option for dry skin as well
throughout winter. I love how fresh, clean and soft my skin feels after using
this product and I have really noticed an improvement in the condition of my
skin since using it.
2) Once I have washed away the majority
of my makeup I like to use the Bioderma micellar water (£10.20) to remove any
last traces of mascara and makeup that have escaped the cleanser. I find this product to be really gentle but
still gets rid of any makeup left on your skin.
3) Next I sweep a cotton pad with some Elizabeth
Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Toner (£18) over my face to leave it
feeling super clean. This toner is great if you have dry skin as it alcohol
free and doesn’t cause any irritation.
4) Finally I apply some Esteé Lauder
Advanced Night Repair Serum (£49) to help repair skin from any environmental
damage and protect against fine lines and wrinkles. I have had a bit of a love
/ hate relationship with this product but as it costs so much I wanted to make
sure that I use it up. I definitely think you have to use it for a good few
weeks to see any improvement and I think more mature skin would see greater
benefits from using it too. I’m not sure this is one I would buy again and I
now have my eye on the Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream so I
think I will try this one next.
5) Right before I go to sleep I like to
apply some of my ‘can’t live without’ product, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
to my lips so that I wake up to them feeling super soft and hydrated.
Again, it’s quite a simple night time
skincare routine with not a huge amount of products but so far it seems to be
working for me. If my skin is really suffering I do sometimes slather on some
Sudocrem Skin Care Cream and leave it over night and any blemishes or redness
have significantly decreased when I wake up in the morning. It’s such an
amazing product and only costs £1.69 at Bodycare. I don’t do this every night
however, just when I feel my skin needs an extra boost!
Which skincare products do you use in
the evening? I’d love to hear about any recommendations that you have!
Thanks for reading,
Hannah xx
You and I do things the opposite way! LOL! I first use micellar water to remove most of my makeup and finally use my Olay Pro-X and a cleanser to remove the rest.
ReplyDeleteI've used that Estee Lauder serum before, I like it but felt like it didn't do as much as I like for my skin so didn't repurchase (yet!). Will definitely come back to it one of these days but not now.

@Shireen L. Platt Haha, I've never thought of doing it that way round before. I think I do it that way because I use my cleanser when I'm in the shower and then the micellar water when I get out.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I will rebuy the Estee Lauder again, there are too many other products out there that I want to try! xx
I have heard great things about the EL serum but I love the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate instead. I feel like I see results almost right away with it!
ReplyDelete@Zoë Danielle Oooh that sounds like a good product, I'll have to check it out! :) xx
