Hi everyone,
My hair really takes a beating on a
day to day basis from using heat on it regularly and also having it dyed every
six weeks. Therefore, I like to use products that are going to keep it hydrated
and in tip top condition. My usual go to hair oils are Moroccan Oil and Orofluido
Oil but I decided it was time to try something new as I felt like my hair was
getting too used to these products after using them continuously for a good few
years.
The Kardashian Black Seed Dry Oil
wouldn’t normally have been something that I’d pick up for fear of it not
living up to much and just relying on the name for sales. However, I had seen
it mentioned online a few times and always with positive reviews so I decided
to give it a try. At £12.44 (randomly on Amazon) it isn’t too expensive compared to others so I
thought it was worth the risk.
When it arrived my first impressions
were that the packaging looked sleek and I liked that it had a pump top, unlike
Orofluido Oil which you just have to pour out and can get a bit messy. The
consistency is runnier than Moroccan Oil and Orofluido Oil but I don’t mind
this and find it easy to apply it evenly to the ends of my hair. My main
concern when trying this product, as with any new hair oils, is that it would leave
my hair looking greasy or weighed down. However, I didn’t have this trouble at
all as it is really light weight allowing my hair to stay nice and fresh
looking.
The main issue I have is that it just doesn't give my hair the same soft feeling as when I have used other
hair oils and treatments. Yes it’s light and doesn’t weigh my hair down but it
also doesn’t make a huge difference to how my hair feels overall. It does help
with knots and makes my hair easier to deal with and style in that sense but so
far I haven’t seen a lasting improvement from using this oil.
The smell of it isn’t something
I’m really that keen on either. It isn’t offensive or anything particularly bad but it’s
not something that smells super yummy and I’d look forward to using. I really couldn't put my finger on what the scent was until I read a bit more about it online and saw a few people saying that it was pepper. I thought that hit the nail on the head but I'd also say it smells quite spicy.
Overall I think this hair oil is OK
for the price but it hasn’t wowed me. It just doesn’t give the lovely soft feeling that other
hair products can and it’s not one I could see myself buying again in the
future. There are too many others out there that do a better job in my opinion.
Have you tried the Kardashian Beauty
Black Seed Oil? What are your go to hair products?
Thanks for reading,
Hannah xx
I don't support anything that has the name Kardashians on them, I just can't. Have you tried John Frieda Full Repair Oil Elixir? I love it and it's one of the best hair oil I've ever tried.

I haven't tried the John Frieda one but I'm going shopping this weekend so I will look out for it :) I'm sure you're not the only one to say that about the Kardashians haha, I have to say I kind of love them but I was very sceptical about their beauty products. x
DeleteHmm, doesn't really sound like my kind of product. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt is an OK product but if definitely only say OK and there are far better ones out there :) x
DeleteHmm, one of the best things about hair oils is that they leave your hair feeling soft, smooth and silky - so it's a pity this Kardashian product didn't help you achieve that! Great review by the way, very thorough :)
