October Favourites

Hi everyone :)

October has come and gone and all my winter clothes have now reappeared out of their summer hiding places. I have to say I am quite enjoying getting all wrapped up and cosy in my big coats, boots and scarves for the colder months and I have already started my Christmas shopping ready for this year’s festivities. In this post I thought I’d share with you guys a few products that I have been using throughout October and why I love them :) So let’s get started....

Avon Ultra Colour Brilliance Lipstick in Vermillion - £8

This is a really nice orangey red lipstick with a subtle shimmer that is great for the upcoming party season. It has quite a nice, soft and creamy feel to it and doesn’t dry out the lips. Overall I’ve found that it has decent staying power although I have needed to touch it up here and there throughout the day. I love this type of colour for the festive season and will be continuing to wear it non-stop in the run up to Christmas.

Barry M Glitter Nail Varnishes - £2.99

I have now accumulated quite a few of the glitter nail varnishes from Barry M and think they look fab on their own or as an accent colour as shown in the photos. You have to paint on a few coats to get the full glitter effect but I think the final look is definitely worth it. For a full review of the Barry M polishes click here.

MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush - £14.50

I have been using this product from MAC as a highlighter non-stop throughout October. Hush is a pale, shimmery pink shade that looks great with my skin tone and although it is a cream highlighter it doesn’t look oily and stays put throughout the day. At £14.50 I think this product is a little on the pricey side but it’s definitely one I will be purchasing again.

Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser - £12.50

I had been using baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes with but found that it wasn’t removing all the oils from the makeup properly and my brushes just weren’t as clean as I had hoped they’d be. I decided to give this makeup brush cleanser from Clinique a try as I had heard a lot of good things about it and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. I will write a full review of this product as I think there is too much to say here but it has been one of my favourite products recently so thought I would give it a quick mention in this post :)

The Fabulously Fashionable Life of Isabel Bookbinder by Holly McQueen

I only usually talk about beauty products in my posts but I just had to give a quick mention to ‘The Fabulously Fashionable Life of Isabel Bookbinder’ which I am currently reading. If you like Sophie Kinsella I think you will like this book and I just can’t put it down at the moment. I won’t go into a whole review here but I have included a link in case any of you would like to read more about it.

So there you have my October favourites. I hope you have all had a good October and are enjoying fishing out all your winter clothes and beauty products. I’d love to hear your October favourites or if you have tried any of the products I have mentioned above :)

Thank you for reading,
BBx
