Hi everyone,
Happy New Year!
I don't usually make New Year’s resolutions as they always end up broken and forgotten about by mid-January and then I just feel bad for not sticking to them. However, this year there are a couple of things that I would like to try and do to make 2015 the best it can be!
1) Take more photographs!
Happy New Year!
I don't usually make New Year’s resolutions as they always end up broken and forgotten about by mid-January and then I just feel bad for not sticking to them. However, this year there are a couple of things that I would like to try and do to make 2015 the best it can be!
1) Take more photographs!
This is just a small thing but I always take tons of photos for my blog but forget to take photos of special occasions and things that are going on in my everyday life. I took just two photographs on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day I was left wishing I had captured a few more moments on camera. So this year I am going to get snap happy and take as many pictures as I can to look back on in years to come.
2) Exercise more
So many people have probably made the same resolution but I really want to get back into working out this year. I started last year so well and was working out four or five times a week in the run up to my holiday, but as soon as I got back and my motivation was gone I slipped back into my old ways. I'm determined to pick it up again though and get back to where I was!
3) Do what I love
I have always wanted to do a makeup course so this year I am going to make it happen! I think it is important to do the things that make you happy and that you enjoy so this year I am going to do more of what I love.
4) See family and
friends more
I always try to see my friends and
family as much as possible but I want to try and make more time for them in the
New Year. I really enjoyed the Christmas period when everyone gets together and
spends some quality time catching up but I don’t think this should just be
limited to special occasions.
5) Stop making so many
lists
I have always loved a list and there
is just something so satisfying about ticking everything off as you complete
them. Having said that they can also be a hindrance and I find myself getting
annoyed if I haven’t got round to finishing everything off, even though I have
often set unrealistic expectations for myself. In 2015 the lists have got to
go!
6) Be more spontaneous
Following on from the list making, in
2015 I also plan to be more spontaneous (although that may be an oxymoron!). If a friend asks me out on the last min or an unexpected opportunity crops up then
I am going to take it and forget about all the boring things that I had planned
to do; I’m sure cleaning the flat or doing the washing can wait one more day!
So there you have it, blogged so I can’t
forget! Let’s see if these resolutions can make it past January this year or if
they end up falling by the wayside!
Have you made any New Year’s
resolutions? Do you think you will stick to them?
Thanks for reading,
Hannah xx
