Champneys A Little Something Special Gift Set

There’s nothing better than having a nice, relaxing pampering session and just taking some time to really look after yourself. One of my favourite things to do when I’m feeling stressed is to run myself a hot bubble bath, light some candles and relax with a good book or catch up on some TV or YouTube videos on my iPad. Having fab products to do this with is an essential which is why I was so happy to receive the Champneys A Little Something Special gift set for my birthday a couple of weeks ago.

The box alone is lovely and is something I will definitely be using after all the products are empty for storing bits and bobs in. Contained inside though is array of gorgeous pamper products including the Citrus Blush Enlivening body scrub, shower gel, body lotion and scented candle from the Little Pick Me Up Collection and A Well Earned Treat Summer Dream Bubble Heaven bubble bath.

On Saturday evening I felt like I needed a treat and some relaxation time so I ran myself a bath using the Summer Dream bubble bath which smells absolutely delicious and contains peach, mango, orange and passionfruit. A first I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it smelt like but it reminds me of the Clinique Happy perfume which my mum wears all the time. The bubble bath created a decent amount of bubbles without using a lot of product so I can see that the 500ml tub will last a good amount of time, or you can pile it in to make the bubbles really mount up. I also lit the Citrus Blush candle which smells so fresh and fruity as it contains lemon, orange and cardamom scents. The body scrub, shower gel and body lotion all have the same fragrance so once you have finished applying the lot you smell so yummy!

I was really impressed with all the products and felt so pampered and relaxed by the time I got out of the bath. The body scrub isn’t too coarse but still leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft and the body lotion sinks into the skin to leave it beautifully hydrated. I very rarely buy all the products from a collection but it’s nice to have some continuity and use a whole range as part of my pamper routine for a change.

If you’re looking for products that feel luxurious to use but won’t completely break the bank then the Champneys ranges are definitely worth looking into. On its own the shower gel is £7.00 at Boots and the Bubble Heaven is £12 for 500ml so that gives you some idea of the prices. Although they aren’t super cheap, they aren’t really high end either and for me they are worth it for a treat every now and then. I really enjoyed my pamper session and will 100% look into repurchasing these products once I have used them up.
