Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser Review

Hi guys,

Before I went on holiday I wanted to find a good tinted moisturiser to take away with me as you don’t always feel like wearing full foundation in the hot weather. If I’m honest I really wanted the Estee Lauder Sheer Tint Release Advance Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Moisturiser (what a mouthful!) but at £38 I thought it was a bit on the pricey side and so I decided to try the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser which is £22.50.

There are six shades available which I think is fairly good for a tinted moisturiser. I went for shade 3 which is probably a bit darker than my normal pale skin tone but as I was using it whilst I was away I was hoping I would have some sort of tan! I found that it gave more coverage than your average tinted moisturiser and for me this is a huge bonus. I also thought that it blended nicely and a little really goes a long way so the 30ml bottle will last decent amount of time. As with all Clinique products, this moisturiser is fragrance free and allergy tested which is great if you’re like me and have sensitive skin and the SPF 15 means you don’t need to worry about extra sun protection when you are wearing it.

Obviously if you’re buying a tinted moisturiser you would also want it to work just as well as a normal moisturiser and not suffer from having the extra tanning properties. I can totally say that I was really impressed and my skin felt lovely and soft after I had used it. On the flip side it didn’t make my skin feel greasy and it didn’t slide off throughout the day, although I do tend to add a little powder just to keep it lasting that little bit longer.

After feeling like I was going for second best in not getting the Estee Lauder moisturiser, I’m now really happy that I chose the Clinique one. I think it is the extra coverage that has sealed the deal for me as I can wear it comfortably in replace of a foundation and still feel that my skin looks good.

Have you tried the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser? Which moisturiser do you usually use?

Thanks for reading,

Hannah xx
