Our holiday to Norway

Hi everyone,

I am currently suffering from a severe case of post-holiday blues as I just got back from a week away in Norway. We were there for a friend’s wedding but stayed a few extra days in the city of Oslo for a little break and so we could get to see more of the country. It is an absolutely amazing place and we were lucky that we got to see both the gorgeous countryside, as the wedding was held in a rural area of Norway, as well as the main city. I was looking through some photos today and thought I would share a few on my blog as we had such a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend it as a place to visit.

This is the gorgeous house that we stayed in the day before and the day of the wedding. Inside it was decorated just to my taste, all shabby chic and pretty and I just loved it! The picture below shows the view from the house which was just breathtaking.

On our first day in Oslo we took a boat trip to the Fjords which was lovely. Apparently properties rarely become available here as they are passed down within the families and I can definitely see why! It was so picturesque and it looks like it would be an amazing place to live. The house below is on it's own little island and is often rented out for parties and events.

On the Monday we went to Holmenkollbakken ski jumping hill where you can actually zip wire from top to bottom during the summer months. I said I was going to do it but when I got to the top and saw how tall it was I quickly chickened out! I'm not good with heights and my legs went to jelly just standing there, never mind actually jumping off to zip wire down! My boyfriend did it though and said it was amazing but he's much more of a dare devil than I am! There was also a ski museum where I made my new friend the elk :)

Norway was such a fantastic place to visit and we had an amazing time both at the wedding and afterwards during our visit to Oslo. I would love to go back again in winter as I bet it looks so pretty when everywhere is covered in snow.

Thanks for reading,

Hannah xx
