Empties!

Hi everyone,

It has been absolutely ages since I have done an empties post, mainly because I always forget to keep the empty packaging to photograph! I have now collected a fair few bits and bobs to share with you though and think it's about time I get this post up so I can throw all this rubbish away.

Soap & Glory products have firmly made their way into my skincare routine recently and I have gone through quite a few of their skincare products in particular. Hand Food is one of the only hand creams that I have come across that actually works at hydrating my dry and chapped hands and has more of a long term effect. Most others help for a little while but as soon as they have soaked in my hands are back to being sore again. As you can see I have gone through a full sized one and a small one and I need to repurchase this ASAP!

I have been trying out a few different mascaras recently but They're Real from Benefit and Lancôme's Hypnose Drama are still all time favourites of mine. I was disappointed with the Maybelline The Falsies mascara and won't be buying this one again as I just didn't think it gave enough volume.

I was so sad when my Burberry perfume ran out as I absolutely love it. I wrote a review of it a while ago (here) if you would like to have a read. I don't usually repurchase perfumes as there are so many different ones out there to try but I am hoping this one will make it's way back into my collection one day as it's just too nice not to!

Gimme Brow is a product that I have bought over and over again but now this one has run out I think I am going to try something different. Don't get me wrong, I still love it as it is so quick and easy to use but they do dry up fairly quickly and  I go through a lot of them. At £18.50 each they aren't cheap so I think it would be cheaper to go back to something like Brow Zings which lasts so much longer. Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer is another product that I have repurchased many times but I don't think I will get it again any time soon. It has been replaced by Bourjois Radiance Reveal which is now my favourite for under the eyes and has knocked Wake Me Up off the top spot.

Finally, this is the second bottle of Aveda Scalp Remedy that I have finished and I have already bought another. I get really dry patches on my scalp which can look flaky and sore at times and this is an amazing product that I have found really helps. You can check out a full review here but if you struggle with dryness on your scalp I would seriously consider giving this treatment a try.

And that's everything! I hope you have enjoyed this post and please let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them. Also if you have any recommendations for similar products that you think I might like then please let me know too :)

Thanks for reading,

Hannah xx

    1. I had to try so hard to remember not to throw my empty packaging away so that I could do this post but I always throw it away automatically! x

  2. Ah, isn't it awful when you reach the end of your favourite fragrances? I seem to be forever re-purchasing bottles; clearly I wear too much perfume, haha! Have a lovely week ahead, Hannah :)

    1. I know, I have a ton of perfumes that have a tiny bit left in the bottom cos I don't want to use it all up! I need to stop doing it though as I end up with way too many almost empty bottles in my cupboard! Thank you and I hope you have a great week too :) x

  3. Have you tried Essence Make Me Brow, Hannah? I swear it's much better than Benefit Gimme Brow and doesn't dry up and go clumpy as fast too. I am tempted to give Benefit They're Real a try again, I have a love hate relationship with it and my eyelashes these days are pretty good thanks to eyelash serum. And you know what? I love Maybelline Falsies in the past but recently when I tried it again, it's horrid. Like you I find it doesn't give much volume. :-(

    1. I have heard of the Essence Make Me Brow but I have never tried it so thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely add it to my shopping list :) I do really like They're Real but tend to get torn between that and Roller Lash which I really like as well, I have both on the go at the minute! I certainly won't be buying Maybelline Falsies again as that was just useless on me. I'm glad I'm not going crazy though and I'm not the only one that doesn't like it as I always read such positive reviews! x

  7. I loved the post, because I myself have difficulties to empty bottles - shampoo and deodorant, of course :) But the rest I have tried to many, that it is difficult to empty things. But now I am much better, not buying so many products and I will empty some, for sure. I love Rimmel Wake up foundation, but never tried the concealer. And I looove Hypnose Drama mascara! Hope you have a nice week!

    1. I have been trying really hard recently to use up the products that I have before buying new ones as my makeup and skincare stash was just getting out of control. It was just a case of remembering to keep the empty packaging as well for this post! I hope you're having a lovely week. x

    1. The Soap & 😞 Glory scents are amazing and it's the same across all of their products as well. I have never come across a Soap & Glory product that I have not liked the smell of. And I feel your pain, my hands are constantly dry and need constant moisturising! :( x

  12. I see a few of my favorites. I like Soap and Glory, their packaging is so cute and their products smells divine and is so hydrating too. I still have a sample size of that Burberry perfume and I really love it. It just smells so good. I've used up two Gimme brow tubes so I want to try something else now.

  15. I really like empties posts, as it is such a true representation of the products you use and love!!! Benefit 'They're Real' is so amazing right, but Benefit is so darn expensive. It's even more expensive here in Aus. I need to have a look at the Bourgois radiance concealer

    1. They're Real is amazing but I wish it wasn't so expensive too, I guess you get what you pay for with that one! I'd definitely recommend the Bourjois concealer, I've not come across a concealer I've liked as much as this one in a long time! x

  17. The Soap and Glory hand food sounds fab, I like the brand and have used several items, but some products are a bit strong smelling for me!
Great empties post, Hannah! It's always great to hear what other bloggers are using regularly. I also love the Burberry perfume as well, funnily the only fragrances that I seem to repurchase are the Jo Malone ones. I think because even their mid size is travel-friendly to pack away. x/Madison
